Drainage is what makes the difference between a road that survives the rains and one that fails within a season. For this site, the priority was getting water off the formation and across the road safely.
Chrisferry's civil team set out and excavated the drainage channels, placed and bedded the culverts, and shaped the surrounding ground so run-off is directed away from the carriageway and the site infrastructure.
Excavators, TLBs and compaction plant were drawn from our own fleet, with civil engineering supervision on site throughout — and the crossing handed over ready for the next wet season.
